Lucero
If you’re still not into this band you’re fucking up. Lucero. Get into it.
this is my favorite christmas song. its commonly known to be performed by U2 but death cab does a great version of it too. So does anberlin, even though im not a big fan of them.
I was just listening to this song and about to post an entry about it. I just put on Dustin Kensrue’s Christmas album that came out I think either last year or in 2007 for the first time this year and I’m finally in the Christmas spirit. It’s a great song and an awesome Christmas album. It’s called This Good Night Is Still Everywhere To Me. (Also I apologize for the get into it at the end of my reblogs, but I end every entry with is, and I feel like when i reblog I’m like commanding you to do something, and that’s not the case, I just feel obligated to say it.) Baby Please Come Home. Get into it.
Anthony Raneri, the singer of bayside has posted a new song on his myspace called “Ballad of Bill the Saint” and I highly recommend checking it out. It’s very good, I’m very excited for any future solo release plans he has. Anthony Raneri Solo. Get into it.

This song rocks so hard. “I’m trying to play the b-side tot his awkward life of mine.” It’s all about the Upsides. So stoked for the new alubm. New Wonder Years song. Get into it.

This movie was great. I saw it with my friend Steve on Saturday and I was very pleased. It’s about a group of radio DJs who broadcast from a boat in international waters to England because the government and radio stations won’t allow rock and roll to be played on the radio. It’s a very lighthearted, fun, and hilarious film. Never boring, and always cute. Phillip Seymour Hoffman is always a safe bet, and the rest of this motley crew cast is wonderful. Definitely check this movie out if you get a chance. I hadn’t heard of it and then I was pleasantly surprised when i stumbled across it and I loved every minute of it. Pirate Radio. Get into it.
The new Transit/Man Overboard Split is streaming on Transit’s punknews.org profile and holy shit am I excited to get my hands on this. Transit and Man Overboard (who I’ve been talking about a whole lot lately) are two of my favorite up and coming bands. Transit’s monumental EP Stay Home came out back in April and Man Overboard recently released Dahlia and both have been in constant rotation in my ipod/itunes as well as my head while I stare out the window in class. The new split EP consists of two songs by each band. “Please Head North” and “Riding the Bullet” by Transit are both harsh jams that show how they’re continuing to grow and mature. “I Ate My Glue Stick” by Man Overboard is catchy and melodic and sticks like gum to your show, however, “Basics 101” has failed to impress me so far. Regardless, both of these bands are up to great things and definitely deserve everyone’s attention. Listen to these jams.

Jeff Kummer was the drummer of the Early November and Your Sweet Uncertainty. I grew up listening to TEN back in my Drive-Thru days when all that mattered was my knee high socks, converse, and sitting on my buddy’s roof listening to pop-punk and emo. I never listened to YSU but I’ve heard them and they’re not bad. Lately Jeff has been aiding Man Overboard, one of my favorite bands, with some recording and what not. He’s featured on a couple tracks on their recent Dahlia EP (and if you’ve read my blog often enough you know I back that band real hard). More recently, Jeff has announced the release of his solo album (which you will see a post about once I get it) and from what I’ve heard so for it’s gonna be great. Check out his absolutepunk.net profile (http://www.absolutepunk.net/artists/showlink.php?do=showdetails&l=24421) and listen to his new song “Write Me Off” off his upcoming debut Your Best Alternative. I promise you will not be let down. Jeff Kummer. Get into it.
